International Day of Prayer
for the Maltese Islands
2003 report

Dear Pray-ers,

Thank you so much for praying for Malta on August 8th - the second annual "International Day of Prayer for the Maltese Islands." We know that people joined us from five of the seven continents and many different countries and states. Here in Malta we had a wonderful day of prayer events.

The men's prayer breakfast was attended by 18 men and they really had a good unified time of prayer and sharing together. Then at the women's coffee morning we had about 40 women (including around 10 non-believers, some of whom it was the first time they had ever come to something "evangelical.")

The visiting missions team from Kentucky did an excellent job sharing some testimonies and encouragment and it was really a blessing. They also helped keep 9 children during those two hours. Unfortunately Kathryn was running a fever and was diagnosed with a contagious throat infection so Robin didn't attend the evening services.

6 people gathered around a table, praying.

Believers from all over the world gathered to pray at the "Rock" prayer station.

The prayer event from 7-9 pm was attended by around 70 people from many of the different churches here and even quite a few different nations!!!! It was such a blessing to see that many people gathered together as Maltese or residents of Malta to pray for their nation!!!

Then they had a coffee break and then a worship rally until midnight- and at midnight there were still around 35 people left! We KNOW the Lord was blessed to see his people praying and worshipping Him together. And that doesn't even count all of you all around the world who joined us as well.

6 men lined up in the front of a hall, and a lady holding a microphone standing next to a set of bongo drums.

Six Christians, who are refugees from the Congo, led us in spirited worship using 4-part harmony, praising God with their whole bodies!

Thanks so much for making this year's Day of Prayer so meaningful. You can go ahead and put it down for next year too- although we covet your prayers before then of course! :)

Love,

Robin, Earl, Kathryn, and "Jr" Pinkston and Team Malta
